PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desirable timing to charge of center coke which is necessary to realize stable operation of a blast furnace by improving the utilization ratio of gas in the axial core part in the furnace. SOLUTION: A method for charging the coke into the bell-type blast furnace, performs parallel charges of ore and the center coke, in which the center coke layer exists so as to penetrate the axial core part in the coke layer and the center coke layer and the raw material coke layers are formed as a columnar state where both layers are vertically connected with each other in the axial core part in the furnace.
