PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toy having sound recording and reproducing functions adequate for infants. SOLUTION: An operating chord 2 is passed through a main body 1 of a spherical shape. The operating chord 2 is previously wound around a rotating body within the main body 1. The operating chord 2 is drawn out in a positive direction or backward direction and the rotating body is rotated. The drawing out operation of the operating chord 2 is detected by using the rotating body as a rotary encoder. Either a sound recording mode or reproducing mode is selected by switch marks 1a, 1b and 1c. If sound recording is performed by rapidly drawing out the operating chord 2 in the sound recording mode, the sounds are recorded by enhancing the resolution of the sound recording. When the operating chord is drawn out in the backward direction, the sounds are recorded in the backward direction. The sound recording time is changed by the amount of drawing out of the operating chord 2. When the operating chord 2 is rapidly drawn out in the reproducing mode, the sounds are reproduced rapidly and when the operating chord is slowly drawn out, the sounds are slowly reproduced. When the operating chord is drawn out in the backward direction, the sounds are reproduced in the backward direction. The lighting speed of an LED 1d is controlled according to the speeds of the operating chord 2 in the sound recording. |
