PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new material useful as a positive electrode material for a lithium secondary battery, which can stably be charged and discharged in a working voltage region (about 4V) equal to that of an existent lithium- cobalt oxide positive electrode material by using an inexpensive raw material which has little limitation in resources. SOLUTION: The lithium ferritic multiple oxide is expressed by the compositional formula of Li2-x (Mn1-n-n Fen Nim )O3-y (wherein, 0<=x<2, 0<=y<=1, 0.01<=m<=0.30, 0.05<=n<=0.75, and 0.06<=n+m<1), and has a layer rock salt type structure. |
