PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oily ink composition capable of forming an image having a good hue and high preservation stability such as light fastness. SOLUTION: This oily ink composition comprises an oily medium and a compound represented by general formula (I) (Ar denotes an aryl group or the like; R<1> denotes hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, nitrile, hydroxy group, nitro group, carboxy group, an alkyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group, an alkylthio group, an arylthio group, an alkylcarbonyl group, an arylcarbonyl group, can alkylsulfonyl group, an arylsulfonyl group or the like; R<2> to R<4> denote each hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, an alkylcarbonyl group, an arylcarbonyl group, an alkylsulfonyl group, an arylsulfonyl group or the like; X denotes N-R<5> , oxygen atom or sulfur atom; R<5> denotes hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group or the like; Y denotes C-R<6> or nitrogen atom; and R<6> is the same as that defined by R<1> ). |
