PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a both-surface printing device which enables a user to set both-sided recording paper without paying attention to the direction of the recording paper. SOLUTION: The both-sided recording paper is set on the surfaces of recording paper stack parts 204 and 205 with the surface up and then the both-surface printing device of a printer 2 securely print a top-surface image on the top surface of the both-sided recording paper without any discrimination between one-surface printing and both-surface printings by reversing the top and reverse surfaces of the recording paper by passing the recording paper through the both-surface printing device of the printer part 2 without printing the recording paper (printing inhibition) for the both-surface printing or printing the top surface of the recording paper without inhibiting the printing for the one-surface printing.
