PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polymer sulfur compound. SOLUTION: This simple method for producing the polymer sulfur compound having a polythiocyclopentadienyl structural unit of the following formula used as a vulcanizing agent for a diene rubber is provided by performing a reaction of (methyl)cyclopentadiene with sulfur and hydrogen sulfide in the presence of a catalyst at 100-180 deg.C temperature.
