PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage-controlled oscillator whose oscillating frequency can be fine-adjusted and the control voltage sensitivity can be adjusted, and to provide an electronic device employing the same. SOLUTION: The voltage-controlled oscillator is provided with a variable resistor circuit 2 that applies a control voltage to a cathode of a varactor diode VD being a capacitive element coupled to a resonator L1 to output a variable DC output voltage on the basis of a voltage at a power terminal Vb, and the DC output voltage of the variable resistor circuit 2 is applied to the anode of the varactor diode VD. Thus, the voltage-controlled oscillator can adjust the oscillating frequency and the control voltage sensitivity to stabilize the performance.
