PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a wound type film capacitor using a tubular core 1, and to provide an apparatus for manufacturing it. SOLUTION: The manufacturing apparatus 8 of the wound type film capacitor is provided with a rotatable core 1 and a voltage-applying electrode 2 for applying a voltage potential difference between the core 1 and a metallized film 4. After bringing the metallized film 4 into contact with or closer to the core 1, a voltage potential difference is applied between the core 1, and the metallized film 4 for bringing the metallized film 4 into close contact with the core 1. A wound type film capacitor is manufactured by winding the film 4 around the core 1.
