PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door damping device capable of adjusting damping force of a sliding door and reducing the number of components at a low manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: The sliding door damping device includes a damping receiving piece 1 in either the upper surface H2 of a sliding door H or the lower surface of a sliding door frame U and a damping member 2 holding the damping receiving piece 1 in the other surface, and the damping member 2 is constituted by having a damping force adjusting means 23 to enable the damping force to adjust. The damping receiving piece 1 and the damping member 2 can be provided to an upper rail mounted upward of the sliding door or a wall surface. The damping receiving piece 1 has a curved plate 11a held by the damping member 2 to enable it to deform.
