PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compactly formable drain plug device openable and closable even by hand in the power failure or the like. SOLUTION: The drain plug device is provided with a plug part 4 having a thrust lock mechanism 13 which can be held in an open position and provided so as to open and close in a drain hole 11 of a tub floor part 2a, an operating force transmitting part 5 operating the plug part 4, an operated member 17 connected to one end of the operating force transmitting part 5 and movably arranged in an outer case 18, a manual operating part 21 abutting a lower end on the operated member 17, having a manually-operated button 23 in an upper end, and movably provided in the outer case 18, and an electric operating part 6 arranged in an inner side of the manual operating part 21 and having an output shaft 6a moved in a thrust direction by a motor drive and capable of moving the operated member 17.
