PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for hydrogenating total crude oil into useful products of low aromatic low sulfur while the number of processing lines and processing apparatuses needed for converting crude oil to the useful products in an oil refinery is largely decreased. SOLUTION: A method for desulfurizing crude oil comprises the following processes: a process in which a supplied material of crude oil is treated by hydrogenation desulfurization in a crude-oil desulfurization equipment; a process in which the desulfurized crude oil is fractionated into a light gas oil fraction, a vacuum gas oil fraction and a residual oil fraction; a process in which the vacuum gas oil fraction is hydrocracked into at least a kind of fuel product of a low sulfur content; and a process in which the light gas oil fraction is hydrogenated.
