PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device for permitting highly reliable detection of a full load, independently of the size or type of sheets, and achieving good sheet discharging and stacking treatment. SOLUTION: The image forming device comprises a discharge tray 452 on which image formed sheets discharged are stacked and a full load detection sensor 455 for detecting the height of the stack of sheets stacked on the discharge tray 452. The full load detection sensor 455 has a plurality of detection levers 455a, 455b, 455c arrayed perpendicularly to a sheet discharging direction, namely in the cross direction of the sheets. The detection height of the detection lever 455c for contacting side end portions of the sheets is set to be less than the detection height of the detection lever 455a for contacting central portions of the sheets.
