PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new settlement method and system for settlement which can move a specific amount to another account for direct debit. SOLUTION: A bill input means 12 receives a charge bill from a charge claimant and rounds up the billed amount. The rounding-up is carried out according to the contents of a round-up table 12a. A money receiving and paying means 14 withdraws the rounded-up amount from a 1st account 16, pays the billed amount to the charge claimant, and puts the remaining amount in a 2nd account 18. Thus, a fraction can be saved in the 2nd account 18 each time of direct debit is performed. The 1st account 16 is a so-called account for settlement and various payments are made from this account. The 2nd account is an account for saving and adequate money is saved in this account. Consequently, the user can pay a convenient amount and save money without being aware of the saving. |
