PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a mechanism of a lubricant coating part and to stably uniformly coat a carrying belt with lubricant. SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus is equipped with a photoreceptor, an electrifier for uniformly electrifying the surface of the photoreceptor, an image forming part having an exposure device for exposing an electrostatic image on the electrified photoreceptor and a developing device for forming a toner image by developing the exposed electrostatic image, a carrying part having a carrying belt and driving and rotating the carrying belt while bringing it into contact with the photoreceptor so that transfer paper may be carried to the transfer position of the image forming part, a transfer part for transferring the toner image formed by the image forming part to the carried transfer paper, and the lubricant coating part consisting of an elastic rubber roller having an elastic rubber layer incorporating the lubricant on the surface of its outer periphery. The lubricant coating part is constituted so that the elastic rubber roller may abut on the specified position of the carrying belt. |
