PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which does not require the adjustment of a display light deflection direction although a conventional display device requires the adjustment of the display light polarization direction to a display based on linearly polarized light to prevent a double image by using S-polarized light or P-polarized light. SOLUTION: The linearly polarized light of liquid crystal display light is made into circularly polarized light by superposing a λ/4 film on a liquid crystal display panel, and made incident on a combiner at a Brewster's angle. Reflection at an emission plane is eliminated by further converting the display light during transmission through the combiner into the P-polarized light by using the λ/4 film. |
