<p>Semisolid compositions for the oral cavity being capable of stably holding ascorbic acid, suffering from no solidification with the passage of time and being excellent in shape retention properties. More specifically, semisolid compositions for the oral cavity which contain polyvinylpyrrolidone having a number-average molecular weight of 10,000 to 360,000, a polyhydric alcohol such as polyethylene glycol, 1,3-butylene glycol, propylene glycol, conc. glycerol, diglycerol or dipropylene glycol and ascorbic acid, optionally together with silicic anhydride.</p> |
