COLLAPSIBLE STEP LADDER AND CARRYING CASE

The invention provides a collapsible step ladder that, when locked in a deployed position, functions like a regular step ladder. The steps are wide and rigid and provide a continuous support surface. The ladder has a pair of primary legs and a pair of secondary legs. The secondary legs support the primary legs in an upright orientation in the deployed position. The steps are pivotally connected to and extend between the primary legs. A lockable brace is provided for restraining pivoting motion of the steps relative to the primary legs in the deployed position. The ladder is adjustable between the deployed position and the collapsed position by lengthwise movement of one primary leg relative to the other. The invention also relates to a carrying case to facilitate convenient transport and storage of the step ladder in its collapsed configuration.
