SUBSTANCE: invention relates to novel alpha-(1-piperazinyl)-acetamido-derivatives of arene carboxylic acid of the general formula (I) alpha where Ar is taken among mono-, bi- or tricyclic aryl group comprising from 6 to 14 carbon atoms and possibly substituted with -alkoxy-group, halogen atom or C1-C6; CF3 are taken independently among H, R1,R2,R3-alkyl, C1-C8-cycloalkyl-C3-C8-alkyl; A, B, C and D mean =CH-; C1-C6 mean independently H, R4,R5,R6-alkoxy-group, C1-C8-cycloalkoxy-group, halogen atom, C3-C8-alkylthio-group or two of these radicals can form phenyl condensed with ring to which they are bound; or their sulfates, pharmaceutically acceptable salts. Compounds of the formula (I) are useful for treatment of patients with non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus.
