FIELD: methods of electric steel strip coating with oxide powder in capacity of separator for annealing. SUBSTANCE: coating is made by application of aqueous solution containing, mainly, MgO and additionally at least one additive including chlorine-containing compound. Added to aqueous solution as chloride-containing compound is ammonium chloride NH4Cl or NH4Cl.n H2O.
