FIELD: forestry equipment. SUBSTANCE: stump grinding tool has hollow body partly filled with liquid, which is urged by blades mounted on shaft to swirl around said shaft upon starting of cutting process. Position of shaft carrying blades coincides with axis of rotation of grinding tool. Lower part of shaft is located in bearing and upper part is placed in freewheel clutch. It allows blade rotational speed to be synchronized with liquid swirling rate without reducing liquid inertia moment, which balances moments developed during cutting of stump mass. Such construction provides for intensive destruction of stump mass regardless of stump density per one square meter of forest area, their diameters and shape of end surface. EFFECT: increased quality of stump destruction and simplified construction. 2 dwg
