A security module for use in a visible position relevant to an area which is to be secured, such as in a building, shop, street or vehicle, the module being suitable for housing security equipment such as cameras and at least one guard who is able to enter ans exit the module secretly, the module being capable of concealing its manning status in order to fool potential thieves, the module may be used to assist in preventing terrorist or hijacking entry or attack. A secret transfer vehicle may also be provided for transporting a guard between other such modules.
