A variable blade manufacturing method based on plastic working technology capable of minimizing cutting and welding operations in manufacturing variable blades assembled in a VGS type turbo charger,comprising the steps of punching out a blank material from a metal material with an approximately constant plate thickness to form a raw material(W)forming the prototype of the variable blades(1),holding the raw material(W)by a pair of opposed molds,molding blade parts(11)and shaft parts(12)to specified shapes,trimming non−product portions projected from product portions,pressing the shaft parts(12)of the raw material(W)against a pair of dies to roll to a specified diameter so as to bring the shape and dimensions of the raw material into the state of a near net shape nearing the specified variable blades,characterized in that,when the variable blades(1)are finished to a blade height of the variable blades(1)equal to the blade width dimension of the variable blades(1),the raw material(W)formed in the state of the near net shape is held and pressed by a pair of opposed molds to realize the accuracy of the blade height in a completed state. |
