The airbag module has a diffuser (18) with a cup-form section (19) enclosing the gas generator. The cup-form section has a filter section consisting of a sintered porous material through which flows the gas from the gas generator. The porous material is selected from the sintered metal powder, sintered metal fiber or sintered metal foam group. The filter section is designed to act as a particle filter for the gas passing through. The filter section may consist of sintered metal fibers with a porosity of 85 to 95 per cent. |
