PURPOSE: A method for sensing an action of a remote-control air conditioner and a device thereof are provided to inform a user of the existence of a person in a house for preventing the operation of an air conditioner from being stopped by remote control when the person is in the house. CONSTITUTION: A device for sensing an action of a remote-control air conditioner includes a tele-control part(20) to be connected to a user by a telephone for inputting telephone signals for checking the existence of a person, a detecting element(45) for detecting an action of a person to determine the existence of the person in a house, and a main control part(35) for controlling the tele-control part according to a detection value of the detecting element for informing the user of the existence of the person.
