FIELD: hydraulic engineering; distillation of sea water at pressure close to critical. SUBSTANCE: proposed apparatus includes vacuum reservoir, spiral heating element, exhaust fan, vapor-condensate jacket, cooling tube bundles, condensate receiving bath, riser, reservoir for vapor-forming chamber and still bottoms, partition forming vapor protective space, refrigerating machine, cold distributing system, gear pumps, protective boxes, heating unit, unsealing unit, reservoirs and pipe lines fitted with fittings and check valve. Water to be distilled is fed in sprayed state; spiral-shaped spraying unit with sprayers inserted inside it is provided for the purpose. Besides that, vapor condensation in one and the same reservoir takes place due to availability of intermediate cold- distributing combs in vapor-condensate jacket.
