<p>The inventive mould for producing shaped articles from a concrete mixture comprises a bottom (1), end and lateral walls (2, 3) and is embodied of plastic material in a such a way that it is integral. In one embodiment, the bottom is provided with a longitudinal U-shaped boss (4) one end of which is provided with a projective band, the other end being arranged with a space in relation to the corresponding end wall (3) of the mould. Said mould is provided with an end insert (8) equal to the width of the space and a U-shaped slot embodied in said insert for forming a boss in the produced concrete article having the form corresponding to the cut formed by the projected band on the opposite end thereof. In the other embodiment, the bottom of the mould is provided with irregularities imitating the surface of a natural shear of a natural stone. The inventive method for producing an element of a drainage system consists in pouring a concrete mixture into the plastic mould, compacting said mixture with the aid of a shaking table, curing the concrete mixture till it is hardened, heating the mould in a bath containing hot water to a temperature corresponding to the beginning of the expansion of plastic material within the entire volume of the mould and in extracting the finished concrete article.</p> |
