The inflatable device (1) can particularly be used for covering a deck chair or a similar item when on holidays. The cover (1) is made of two inflatable parts (11, 12) and a non inflatable transitional area (13). It can be attached to the chair with various suitable fasteners (15) like straps or an insertion area for the upper section of the back part of the chair provided at the rear. The device (1) can be fitted with ventilation holes or sold as a kit in combination with a bag and a small air pump.
