The use of 2-amino-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-6-n propylaminobenzothiazole (pramipexole) (I) or a salt or hydrate as an anticonvulsant, optionally with a second active compound, for preventing or treating cerebral or generalized seizures and epilepsy, is new.
