System for processing a wall of a body, especially a bus or lorry in which a processing device is mounted on a device carrier (1). The latter is moved along the wall of the body as required. Its height can be adjusted with a height adjustment mechanism (7). The processing concerned is preparation of the surface prior to application of a protective coating. As such the processing device used is a grinder or sander (2) that is held to the wall pneumatically or magnetically to prevent damage to the wall.
