The arrangement includes two opposing data light barriers (1) each of which has a transmitter (2), a transmission lens (6), a receiver (3) and a reception lens (7). The optical axes of the transmission and reception lenses are essentially parallel. The transmitter and receiver are connected to an analysis unit (4). The transmitter of each light barrier sends transmission light beams (8), for bidirectional transmission, to the receiver of the other light barrier. Data words in the form of coding are superimposed onto the transmission light beams. The receiver is formed from a flat arrangement of adjacent receiver elements (10). In the analysis unit a measurement for the spatial displacement of the transmission beam axes is taken from the quantity of light on the individual receiver elements. The transmitter is formed of a flat arrangement of adjacent transmission elements (9). For compensation of the displacement, the angle of the light transmitted from the transmitter is adjustable and a predetermined number of transmission elements is activated. |
