PURPOSE: A side upper outer cowl having a flange of a vehicle is provided to improve assembling rigidity, and to increase the endurance against vibration from the side of the vehicle by forming a flat flange in the lower part of the side upper outer cowl. CONSTITUTION: Flat flanges(10a) are protruded horizontally in the lower parts of side upper cowls(5a), and combined with an outer cowl under cover(4). The flange is bent and contacted to the side upper outer cowl. The bonding rigidity is increased by enlarging the contact portion of the outer cowl under cover with increasing the area of the flange. The side upper outer cowl is integrally combined with the outer cowl under cover by bolting or spot-welding in contacting the flange to the outer cowl under cover. Durability against vibration is improved by increasing assembling force, and rolling is reduced in traveling on the uneven road or cornering.
