FIELD: mineral fertilizers. SUBSTANCE: composition suitable as fertilizer aqueous composition contains 8-13% boron in the form of sodium pentaborate, 0.1-3% swelling clay, and 0.05-0.2% polysaccharide, said swelling clay being montmorillonite clay or sepiolite and said polysaccharide being xanthane gum. Suspension is prepared by bringing into reaction boric acid in aqueous suspension with sodium tetraborate at stirring to form sodium pentaborate in presence of clay, polysaccharide, and any other ingredients. Thus prepared suspension is applied on a plant or on plant growing area, or on area designed for growing plants.
