Cabin air filter has spun fibres fabricated by an electrostatic spinning process and attached to a substrate

A filter insert has fibres on a substrate fabricated using an electrostatic spinning process. The fibres have a cross-sectional diameter in the range 0.1 - 20 m. The substrate layer is a spun fleece or an absorbent layer. The filter insert substrate is fabricated from spun fleece, needle fleece, glass wool or mineral wool with a specific weight of 10-500 g/m preferably 15-150 g/m. The filter fibres have a coating which increases progressively from the inlet point to the outlet point. The fibre density increases progressively from the input point to the output point.
