The pot (6) is circular in plan view with a flat bottom and very slightly tapered sides. There is a water inlet (4) at the side at the bottom and an outlet (5) at the side at the top. There is an overheating protection device (21) with a mounting (20) at the side above a thermometer (18) on a mounting flange (19). The pot has a flat lid which accommodates the terminals (3) for the heater coil.
