PURPOSE: A method for using a public telephone service and a general telephone service is provided to offer information about a callee registered through the Internet through a terminal for using a corresponding telephone service when using the public telephone service or the general telephone service. CONSTITUTION: If a member authentication succeeds through a service user authentication unit of a service processing system(803), the success of the member authentication is notified to a public telephone terminal or a general telephone terminal as a character or a voice through a switch unit and a next process is requested for using a service(804). A service user, who completes the member authentication, designates a callee as a voice using callee information for call connection(805). If the service user does not the callee as the voice, the service user selects a retrieval function of registered callee information and designates the callee for call connection(807). If the service user searches the callee for call connection, corresponding callee information and a caller ID are transmitted to the switch unit so that the call connection is performed to a telephone terminal of the callee(808). If the callee wants to calls a caller, a call service is performed. If the callee completes the telephone call, a service use history is stored in a service use database of the service processing system(809).
