The invention relates to agents for bringing about a colour change in keratin fibres, which are obtained directly before use by mixing a first alkaline-adjusted component (A) with a second acid-adjusted component (B) containing at least one oxidizing agent. The second component (B) contains at least one branchedC6- C30 fatty acid and/or at least one branched or unbranched C8- C30 dicarboxylic acid or the derivatives thereof. The inventive agents exhibit increased viscosity or only slightly reduced viscosity over time and are thus especially suited for selectively changing the colour of keratin fibres.
