The method for the controlled manual sorting of municipal refuse involves a controlled handling of refuse from its originator to its reuser. The method is based on manual sorting. In the phase, in which the types of refuse and the sub-types thereof are determined, the reuser gives different indications to the organizer that the organizer then uses in the instructions for use for the originator (households, businesses, etc ). The organizer simplifies the work by using only one recipient which is used for accepting refuse at the originator, over the course of sorting, and up to compacting or comminuting. In the phase, in which the recipient is delivered, each originator is provided with an identifier (a number, a code word, etc ). The organizer has to provide the best possible assistance without committing any errors. The residents ensure that they have verified the refuse storage locations and that they adhere to the instructions. Each bag has to be marked otherwise it is not accepted by the organizer or the organizer will accept the bag only under special conditions. The shop manager looks at the instructions on the bag, confirms them, fills out a slip of paper with data and places it inside a compartment in the bag. The recipients or bags provided with these slips are weighed whereby entering the weight into the central computer and not only indicating it on the slips of paper. After the recipients have been weighed, they are given to the sorters. The two most important elements of the new hand sorting are the sorting of small amounts (0.03-0.06) of a type of refuse according to sub-types, which leads to an improved overview, and the refuse cannot move freely. The sorters (being the most important tool ) are checked and constantly supervised. |
