The device is provided by a coupling element (7) fitted between adjacent floor panels (1,2) having a spring tongue (3) along one longitudinal edge and a slot (4) along the opposite longitudinal edge, each provided with a locking edge (5,6) for locking the floor panels together transverse to the interfitting direction. The coupling element has a corresponding spring tongue and slot along its opposing side edges, for cooperating with the slot of one floor panel and the spring tongue of the other floor panel. |
