Quaternary polyamideamines (VII) are new. Quaternary polyamideamines of formula (VII) are new. R<1>, R<2>, and R<4> = straight chain or branched heteroatoms; R<5> = H or alkyl; R<7> = H or alkyl or two R<7> together = R<4>; b = 0-50; and c = 1-50. Independent claims are also included for the preparation of quaternary polyamideamines (VII).
