An authenticatable printed matter on the base of which a background image portion and at least one message image portion are printed.The background image portion is oriented in a first direction and has a first line drawing so printed with an ink having a specular gloss as to rise from the surface.The message image portion is oriented in a second direction and has a second line drawing so printed with an ink having a specular gloss as to rise from the surface.
