A method of treating gases, fumes and vapours with fragments of crustacean shell so as to extract one or more components from the gases, such as volatile zinc and acidic gases. A method of preparing the fragmented crustacean shell is disclosed. Also disclosed is an apparatus for gas treatment comprising a container and an adsorbent material in the container. |
