PURPOSE: An optical connector and an optical element are provided to solder with high efficiency, high temperature and short time or reflow soldering without using baking or moisture-proof packaging. CONSTITUTION: An optical connector is provided with a body part(10) made of resin, a cylinder type inserting hole(11) formed from the front portion to the rear end portion of the body part, and a device storage hole(12) for storing a photo diode(30) and a printed circuit board(40). At this time, the cylinder type inserting hole is connected through the device storage hole. At the time, the device storage hole is formed at the rear surface of the body part. At the time, the rear portion of the device storage hole is opened to the outside except support parts(13) formed at both sides of the rear portion of the body part.
