PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the efficiency of dehydration treatment in a filter cloth type dehydration apparatus. SOLUTION: The apparatus for dehydration of a water-containing article consists of: a long, flexible filtering hose one end of which is opened to a force feed port for water-containing article and the other end of which is opened to a scupper; a plurality of narrowing means provided at intervals along the longitudinal direction of the filtering hose; and a force feed pump for a water- containing article connected to the force feed port so as to force-feed the water- containing article into the filtering hose.
