PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize the control of washing and rinsing processes in washing based on the measurement data on a water supply flow rate and a water temperature. SOLUTION: The washing machine comprises an ultrasonic measuring instrument 12 that is provided at a water supply pipe 11 to a washing bath 2 for measuring a flow rate, a water temperature measurement means that is provided at the water supply pipe 11, a water supply means for supplying washing water to a specific water level, and a control means for controlling each process of water supply, washing, and rinsing, thus correcting control in each process based on the output of the ultrasonic measuring instrument 12 and the water temperature measurement means and hence accurately grasping the flow rate and water temperature in supply water with a simple configuration, and performing optimum control of water supply, washing, and rinsing based on the measurement data for efficient washing.
