PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap for a drain pipe, capable of preventing mice from using the drain pipe as a passageway and invading the inside of a house, capable of making the mice, etc., remaining in the inside of the house easily pass through the pipe, capable of, consequently, sweeping the inside of the house of the mice, etc., capable of being given at a low cost, and capable of being easily handled. SOLUTION: This cap for the drain pipe is used for preventing the mice and other small animals from invading the inside of the house by positioning it on an outside part of an opening of the drain pipe by which the outside and inside of the house communicate with each other, wherein many wires are arranged on one of both ends of a pipe of which the outer diameter is approximately equal to the inner diameter of the drain pipe, or of which the inner diameter is approximately equal to the outer diameter of the drain pipe, so that the wires form a curved surface, side surface of a circular cone or side surface of a circular truncated cone by being converged on a point outside the pipe.
