SOLUTION: The powder seasoning whose hygroscopicity or subsequent quality deterioration due to its caking is prevented without deteriorating a characteristic preferable flavor and which has excellent solubility is obtained by adding a prescribed amount of a new cyclic starch (highly branched cyclic dextrin) and then drying the mixture.
