PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To design a rolling stock of a shape for reducing aerial vibration by minimizing Vwall value in a design method of rolling stock reduced in aerial vibration and a designed rolling stock. SOLUTION: (A) Tunnel inlet aerial vibration and [(B) time waveform of tunnel internal pressure fluctuation (microbarometric wave)] of linear acoustic theory are in a proportional relation, and (B) and (C) spatial waveform of Vwall average value (velocity component vertical to a virtual wall surface) is in a proportional relation. Accordingly, (A) the inlet aerial vibration and (C) the Vwall average value are consequently in a proportional relation, and if the Vwall value is minimized, the inlet aerial vibration can be reduced. Thus, a steady CFD analysis is performed in a bright section, and the shape of vehicle as minimizes the Vwall average value is selected, whereby a vehicle design can be performed at a low cost.
