<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wastewater treatment apparatus which can maintain the established ecosystem of a sludge system while suppressing the generation of sludge, and has functions of water clarification and inhibition of sludge generation by a food chain. SOLUTION: In this wastewater treatment apparatus 10, a fixed bed 40, which is a habitat for animals preying on bacteria, is installed in a biological treatment tank 12, thereby preventing the flow out of a large amount of the animals preying on bacteria from the biological treatment tank 12 and the dying out of the flowing-out animals in a sludge treatment device 35. As a result, the animals preying on bacteria in the system can be retained to improve the functions of the water clarification and the inhibition of sludge generation.</p> |
