PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a heat retaining property of a pouring cylinder and a non-stickiness to molten metal by blowing inert gas after passing through a ceramic layer concerning a gas purge in the pouring cylinder. SOLUTION: The pouring cylinder is constituted by lining with an gas permeable ceramic layer into a non-gas permeable outer cylinder having a top part and also, a connecting hole with a molten metal feeding trough arranged in a side wall at the upper part of this pouring cylinder, and a connecting hole in a gas feeding pipe for the inert gas is arranged in the side wall. Then, this pouring cylinder for gas-pouging in a magnesium alloy is obtained to this purpose by forming a connecting means with the side wall of the molten metal pouring cylinder at the lower end part of the pouring cylinder.
