PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for binding the ear top portions of about four or five small rice straw bundles bound with a combine harvester and then leaned to dry the rice straws. SOLUTION: This device for binding the ear tip portions of the rice straws for drying comprises a cylindrical shaft (16), a horizontal hole (17) for putting out a string, an umbrella-like rice straw ear tip portion-receiving plate (20), a string brake (27), a string hook (21), a cutter (27), ear tip portion-binding fittings (31') and (31"), ear tip-collecting fittings (37') and (37"), and the like, and uses the power of an engine grass cutter to be carried on the back.
